North Broad Street Renaissance

May 17, 2017

North Broad Street in Philadelphia is seeing a resurgence like never before. From City Hall down to Germantown Avenue there are the signs of construction activity which translates to new jobs, apartments and restaurants and a visually more appealing North Broad Street to greet visitors. Even the City has become involved  and replaced the street lights down the center of Broad Street to enhance the overall appearance.

DOMUS has had the pleasure of working on several projects with E.B. Realty on North Broad Street and we have several others in the planning phase with various developers. Projects currently being worked on by Domus include the Studebaker Building (677 N Broad) which is receiving a new façade and interior renovations, The Divine Lorraine (699 N Broad) which sat empty for over 25 years and is now partially occupied and will have over 100 apartments and retail space when completed and the Metropolitan Opera House (858 N Broad) that will be starting this year and when completed will be a music venue for Live Nation.

Other projects include; Project Home (2415 N Broad) which is a new 4 story building that once completed will contain 89 apartments and retail space, Volunteers of America VOA (2601 N Broad) where Domus is renovating the former North Broad Street Station designed by Horace Trumbauer into 56 apartments and SRO's.

If you happen to wander off North Broad to the east,  we recently completed Mural Lofts at Spring Garden Street and are in the process of completing HELP, USA (Philly 5) both buildings are the adaptive reuse of former schools into apartments.
